Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought that I would pivot from a journalism background to pursuing my doctorate degree in Instructional Technology. I am also hoping to complete my Master's in Threat & Response Management before I get through my Ph.D. My coursework is complete and I am waiting for the opportunity to start my dissertation which will focus on the intersection of Instructional Design and Emergency Management. I am good at finding gaps, and this is an area I found which is largely untapped by the popular majority of the research population. I have a very keen interest in understanding the learning experiences of young adults and working adults, hence my affinity to understanding the andragogy learning theory better. User and Learner Experiences are also within my scope of current research. I am not out to save the world, but I am hoping that my contribution will add to the progress in both fields. Having said that, I am open to immersing myself in any field and making the best out of it.
Those who know me will be able to attest that I am dedicated to what I've committed to doing, creative and innovative, diligent, and I am a doer who will finish what I have started. I have learned that the more I learn, the more I learn that I don't know everything, hence my guiding principle has always been to be humble, to work smart and hard, and have an excellent learning spirit in any tasks that I have set out to do.
